Still workin' on this page.... check back again soon !!!
and yes, this is a preliminary page... the photos will get better...

You MUST read through this ENTIRE ALIGNMENT SECTION
before you begin making ANY adjustments.

Basic Reel Normalization Adjustments.....

The first thing to do is to check that the Reel Normalization Pots are
correctly set: here's how I do it....

1) Turn ALL Tension pots at least 10 turns COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (that's down)

2) Turn OFF the machine, and place the Tension Control Card on the Extender

3) Turn the machine back on

4) Using a rubber band, hold the Tape-Break Arm in the Operational Position

5) Hit REWIND

6) Adjust the TAKE-UP SIDE Reel Normalization Pot so the take Up reel just
stops turning when it's in fast Forward. You'll have to hold the reel
and let it go a few times to check it.

7) Now hit FAST FORWARD.

8) Adjust the SUPPLY SIDE Reel Normalization pot until the Supply side reel
just stops turning... again you'll have to hold then release the reel
     to check it.

9) Now Turn OFF the machine, remove the card from the extender, replace it
in it's slot, and turn the machine back on.

Now you've correctly set the Reel Normalization controls and can continue on
     to the basic Transport Alignment
