NOTES:

#1       Error 90 is a common error due to different boot-up routines,
usually not of great importance if re-booting the machine clears the message.
IF error repeats, try spray cleaning the connector to the Serial Board in the Transport Card Cage.

#2      Dip Switches 1-5 inside the Remote on CPU PCB will defeat indication of error codes 91 - 99
Error 90 cannot be turned off this way.

To begin a Full Machine Function Test, Hold down all five transport buttons on the machine and then press
"Search Zero" then release.     After a short period of time, the machine will perform a Full-Function test.
To exit test mode press CLEAR.     Tape Control will display "-A.err--" until the TIME/IPS/% button is pressed.

To view the TRANSPORT Software Version:     Turn ON the machine while pressing the TRANSPORT's "STOP" switch.
Recorder will display software number and version on Transport tape counter.

To view the REMOTE's Software Version:     Turn ON the machine while pressing the REMOTE's "STOP" switch.
Recorder will display the REMOTE's software version on the Remote's tape counter
